Bonjour de Paris

Recovering at home after a day running around Paris with Erika and Christian. It was a nice change from England's high street shopping! We flew out in the morning and back at night, that gives just enough time to have lunch, fika and walk around a bit. None of us really fancied the idea of having to stay there overnight as there's nothing to do there on a Sunday anyway, well not if you need to do any shopping.
Of course the only thing on my shopping list was fois gras and sauternes wine to go with it. I also wanted a crepe but unfortunately got the timing wrong so no crepe for me. I also got the food wrong and ordered the one thing I don't eat, tripe sausages! Yuk! How can they serve this in restaurants to unsuspecting people, I must try to remember the name of it next time so I stay well clear!

The only solution was to have a croque monsieur somewhere else. The English translation of Croque Monsieur at the cafe was, by the way, Crunch Man. As if that explains what it is! Erika took the wise decision to order a Charlotte au Chocolat, yum, and Christian ordered lovely Chocolate ice cream with chocolate sauce, mmmm
Today we're hopefully getting a lovely xmas tree to put in the lounge! Will be back with a photo or two!
Until then, xx and auvoir
