Last night we had another famous Wembley crayfish party, this time at Christian's place so that he could actually find the party! But unfortunately IKEA had sold out their crayfish so we shared 1 box of lovely Chinese sweet-water crayfish and of course I made 2 gorgeous "smörgåstårtor", i.e. "sandwich cakes."

For those of you who haven't ever tried one of these creations, they are basically layers of bread with creamy sandwich fillings in between and then dressed with mayo and whatever you like on top. As you can see I'm into my seafood so there were heaps of smoked salmon, prawns and kaviar. Inside I put prawn and mayo, smoked salmon and Philadelphia cream cheese, smoked ham and apple in creme fraiche, and so on. We also had sill - "pickled herring" and nubbe/snaps, an experience in itself, especially for the one who gets to drink the Bäska Droppar from the collection of Swedish snapses, a drink Paolo will never forget!
