Colonia Uruguay
Hi,
more stamps in the passport as we go to Colonia in Uruguay. It's just across the Rio Plata but even the weather is different from BA. It can be raining and cold there but hot and sunny here, very odd. Colonia is an old Portuguese/Spanish port/fort/stronghold and it's very picturesque.
I prefer being in a small town rather than a big city. Buenos Aires was not as nice as I had imagined but the area of San Telmo where we were staying was great. So I only visited the cemetery of Eva Peron's grave and then we spent the rest of our time socialising with the people we've met since and Iguazu.
The hostel here has free bikes, so tomorrow I'm definitely going for a bike ride. I will write more from later as the keyboard at the hostel is not working properly so difficult to write on. And there is a queue of people waiting to use the free internet haha. And it's time to watch the football, England plays Uruguay in a few minutes.
xx charlie
