Gualeguaychú

Buenas Días!
We arrived safe and sound to Gualeguaychú at 3 in the morning, caught a taxi with a very nice old man who found us a hotel for GBP12 a night, very expensive for the backpacker budget but I think I can cope with such a price for a couple of days, haha. Normally a night in a hostel costs around 20 Arg pesos and this hotel 180 pesos a night for the room, so 3 x more than normal, oh well!

Anyway, I just loooove it here so I know where to come next time I'm on holiday! It's just the easiest place to travel around and very safe so defo coming back for a longer backpacking session :)

Tonight we will experience the local carneval, hope it's good! Was hoping to do some shopping this morning but it looks like the shops are closed. Not having any luck with shops as they seem to be closed all the time. So don't know how I will get these presents for you guys! I've got a "borillo" to drink the mate with (i.e. he straw), my 1st souvenire, but think I'll use it for green tea instead, almost as bitter if you leave it for a while haha.

I also hope to have a nice steak tonight as yesterday we had to survive on white bread and empanadas all day. I need some meat!
