Another weekend in Brighton
Just back from another weekend in Brighton, drove down with Matt, Armel and Sara to meet Helena, Marja and Mette. I got to test my newest toy, TomTom which did its best to let us avoid the traffic on the M23 and lead us on a country route past horse shows and Lewes, not bad ;)
We started by touring the Palace Pier, then had our drink at Fortune of War that started our evening off. Unfortunately we all decided to stuff ourselves silly at a small Japanese cafe so we were too full to do anything after that really. Helena had kindly got us 5 a 3 bed room where the beds were about 70cm wide... we went to bed, Matt and I decided that putting 2 duvets on the floor would save us falling off the bed all night and all slept quite comfortably... until the other hotel guests got home from their respective stag and hen nights out and proceeded to loudly party all night until it was breakfast time. Only when they left around 8.30 was it quiet again. So for £20 each we had the luxury of not sleeping for the night.
After a night like this we treated ourselves to an English breakfast by the sea, then Matt and I did our required game of crazy golf.... which I won by 10 points or so thanks to great 1hr night's sleep ;)
The rest of the day we spent on the beach or shopping in the lanes but disappointingly the girl who sells millions of silver rings was not there this weekend so I didn't get to spend any money on any bling. So there's nothing better than crashing with an ice cream on the beach!
